Vesti Multi-currency wallet (part of the Vesti App)  is a digital wallet that allows users to have access to hold multiple currencies simultaneously. Moreso, It allows individuals to conveniently handle and transact their monies in different currencies. As a Neobank for immigrants, Vesti decided to provide Multi-currency wallets for users, to break the barriers of difference in currency, that pose financial transactions difficulty to immigrants as they move from one country to another, as the  multi currency wallet enables users to send and receive money across international borders and pay bills in different currencies.

Before now the Vesti wallet operated on one  currency pair, Naira and USD only. The multi-currency wallet operates on multiple currencies that includes Naira, USD, Ghana Cedi, Zambian Kwacha with more country currencies to be added soon as we expand this summer.

Some Features of Vesti Multi-Currency Wallet

1. Your Wallet (s): This feature gives a card display of a user's wallet on the mobile or web App. Before now, there were two primary cards displayed in the wallet section of the Vesti App, these two cards represented the user's USD wallet and Naira wallet respectively. Right now the multi-currency wallet comes with an amazing design of multiple currencies, USD, NGR, and GHC  displayed on a single card. Under-listed are some of the  features that make it easy for users to access multiple currencies:

• Default Wallet:  New users of the multiple currency wallets have a “Default Wallet” in the currency of the country selected when signing up. This means that a user that signed up as a Nigerian for example gets a Naira wallet by default while a user that signed up as a Ghanaian gets a GHC wallet by default. In addition, an existing user that signed up as a Nigerian retains his NGR wallet as his default wallet.

• Add Wallet Feature: The “Add Wallet Feature” of the multi-currency wallet enables users to add available wallets, one per time to their existing wallet. This means that a user with a GHC wallet can add other available wallets such as NGR, USD, MXN- and so on.

• Wallet Drop down feature (Switch Wallet): The default wallet and all wallets added by a user can be seen by the user once he clicks on the drop-down. This feature not only allows a user to see all wallets he possesses but also enables him to switch between his wallets. Furthermore, a user can switch from NGR - Naira to GHC - Cedi by selecting GHC from the Dropdown menu, and his display wallet automatically changes to  GHC.

1. Balance Feature:

The "balance feature"  enables users to check the balance in their wallet. This implies that users can view their balance in Cedi through the GHS wallet "balance feature" and once they switch wallet to USD, they can also use the "balance feature" to check their balance in USD.  

2. Add Money Feature

"Add Money Features" of Vesti's multi-currency enables users to add money in their wallet’s currency.

• Add money (GHC): This feature enables users to add money in Cedi through the use of a commercial bank Card.

• Add money (NGR): This feature enables users to add money in Naira to their wallet, through the use of a commercial bank card or by transfer from an external bank account to the account number attached to their naira wallet. 

• Add  Money (USD): This feature allows users to deposit money in USD into their wallet with a card or apple pay. Also, this feature allows a user to add or deposit money in his USD wallet from his  Naira wallet.

1. Send Money Feature: This feature enables users to perform the following transaction:

• Wallet-to-Wallet Transfer: same currency 

• Send Money from Vesti's Wallet to an External Bank account 

• Send USD from your USD Wallet to a recipient account, based in the US and also send USD to a Vesti user USD wallet.

5. Transaction Preview

"Transaction Preview" feature allows users to review the details of their transactions before entering their transaction pin to complete the transaction process. This valuable addition aims to prevent any inadvertent or erroneous user payments. With the "Transaction Preview," customers have the opportunity to double-check crucial details

   6. Security Features

At Vesti, we value our customers and we ensure that their money is safe. Our “multi-currency wallet" is safe and secure. The security architecture embedded in the system ensures that when our customers use the Vesti App to transact, their accounts and transactions are safe and secure. We have the following in place for close monitoring of fund movement and improved security of your funds:

Email Notifications/ Transaction Receipt : Vesti would always send you an email notification to keep you informed of your transactions.

Recent Transactions feature: 

This feature allows users to monitor transaction activities on their Vesti account and cards using the Vesti App or Vesti Website.

Also, users  can reach us fast via frauddesk@wevesti.com: to block their account, anytime they suspect that their Vesti account or card details/ PIN have been exposed and or compromised.
